6/23: Our adventure begins

We packed up our stuff, said goodbye to our home and Alex, and headed to JFK. After a slight delay and (hopefully) our last Shake Shack burgers for a bit, we're writing this from 10,000 feet up on our way to stop one: Venice, Italy.
